Dearest Alice and Ronnie,

Was told by the post master here today that I had better start using this
address here so noting the change, H.Q. and H.Q. Company 16th R.D. APO 129.
Now that I have finally sent it to you, suppose I’ll definitely <? have>
before I get any mail.  Well it will be another address you can put in your
little book any way.

Saw a good show tonight, "A tree grows in Brooklyn" Joan Blondell and James
Dunn, although Joan Blondell played a minor role.  I thought the projector
wasn’t focused right and we couldn’t hear half the time.  But it was still
pretty good.  I wrote you a long letter last night and there has been nothing
new happening today so, haven’t much to say tonight.  Did you get a $50 money
order today?  And will write you a letter tomorrow and enclose it.  Sort of a
Mother’s Day present or something.  Maybe you’ll get the package I sent you
by that time too.  Certainly glad you get better service on my packages than
I do on yours.  I know I’m getting very low on powder again so, I’d better
be getting some packages pretty soon or else things might not be so good.

Learned today that the <? Data> back in England had recommended that I be
given no job where there could be a nervous strain attached to it.  Maybe
that’s one reason why I’m doing so much floating around.  I don’t know. Doing
nothing is a nervous strain too.
