Dear Aliice and Ronnie:

A short letter to let you know that the musical show was pretty good and the
two French boys I took with me enjoyed it very much.  I will enclose the
program in my next letter.  The boys’ folks had intended going with us, but his
nephew, who has been held prisoner by the Germans since 1940, just came home
tonite and they were celebrating.  He was a Lt. in [the] French army and said
they held him in one camp all that time.  He was never out of it, didn’t do any
work and wasn’t treated too badly because he was an officer.

Received another box of tea from you today (thank you very much) and two copies
of the tribune, March 9th and March 23rd.  The very first I have received since
leaving Fort Meade.  No letters again today though, wrote Murray a letter today
which you may read.  Wrote about some things that might be of interest to him
so don’t take offense because I don’t write about such things to you.  You see
I have more important things to write to you about.
