Darling,
I’m writing this so Elinor can mail it on her way to work.

Murray stopped in this morning and has been looking for an apartment in
Roseland for the last two days.  Says he’s only had a couple hours sleep each
day.  Must be going to stay at Pullman.  He has to be out of his house May 1st.
He asked for the latest news of you and also if he could take me to the depot
when I leave, but I told him Elinor was going to.  Edith also asked me if I
wanted her to drive me down.

Nice of Murray to offer, I thought.

I finished putting the fringe and tassels on the window shades in the dining
room, also ironed the curtains.  Sure looks nice!  I’m starting on the living
room shades tomorrow, but will wash the walls when I get back from Florida. I
also turned the bedroom shades today.  Sure makes a difference as the shades
are white instead of dirty tan.

It’s been about 65 degrees today and nice and sun shining.  Ronnie has been out
in the backyard practically all day, except for his nap.

Gladys called and I’m going out there Saturday and stay[ing] until Sunday. I’m
going on the South Shore and she’ll meet me in

Gary.  Ronnie is coming with me, of course, so don’t try to call me over the
weekend as I won’t be here.

About return reservations.  I do have the round-trip ticket, but they wouldn’t
make reservations for my coming back.  Don’t buy a ticket, just ask if you can
make reservations for my trip back.

I have to wash my dishes now, as Ronnie has finished his supper at last.
Well, be a nice boy now

and don’t do anything I wouldn’t.  At least not till I get there.

Well, guess I have to get to work and then give Ronnie his bath and put him to
bed.
