Dearest Alice and Ronnie:
Well, as you see, I’m still writing and still here in this camp in England quite some distance North of London. If I stay in the E.T.O. long enough I’ll get to be in practically all of England. I haven’t seen anything yet that would make me want to stay here though. There is another show on tonight which I hope to see. Ginger Rogers in something, all these shows are free and, although they are usually old pictures they are entertaining and that’s something.
Just happen to think you might send me some more Ipana toothpaste and Barbasol shaving cream. It’s about the only stuff that one can do a good job with with cold water. I’m glad to hear Muriel has decided to live with you for a while. I don’t exactly like the idea of you and Ronnie being there alone. Until I get in a permanent outfit again you might write mostly V-mail. Maybe they will catch up with me faster.
All my love to you both, Daddy
