Dearest Alice and Ronnie,

Just got beat at a game of ping-pong. So while resting up for the next game
will let you know I’m still here and getting along.  I got beat because I
hurt my leg playing baseball again yesterday.  It’s nothing serious. It just
prevents me from getting around like I should. At least I’ve beaten this kid
before, so I’ve got a good excuse.  Tonight makes one full week in this new
camp.  Fully expected to be all set in my new job by this time, but such is
the way it goes.  I have no idea when I’ll leave here, but have a feeling it
will be soon now, because when ever I start getting mail in a place, I always
leave it soon after.  Last night I got my first package from Claude.  It was
mailed February 12th and came in excellent shape.  It had four boxes of
marshmallows, about a dozen Hershey bars with nuts in them, and a large can
of fruit cocktail.  It certainly is good.  No letters since coming here, but
then hardly expect any yet. Time for another game.  May add words later.
