Hello again,

Just came from a very good GI show.  An eight-piece band with some good
specialists. A singer formerly with John Jones Orchestra, Pete <? Ceruti>,
supposed to be one of the three best accordion players in the States, a
violin and <? operata> singer by name of Cominiki formerly with NBC and
CBS, a sax player who had a band of his own in New Jersey, a very good
tap-dancer and <? play> actor and some others. All a part of this company
I’m in waiting just like I am for our next assignment.  Special services
here just picks these boys out as they come thru and have them put on a show
in our open air theater.  Tomorrow they may all be gone but tonight they
gave us a little entertainment.  It all helps.

It’s been quite warm here the past few days and guess summer has arrived a
little early compared to Chicago but I’ll take warm weather over here any
day to the cold.  This small stream we have running by this camp certainly
lends to our wandering ways, specifically when we smell a detail coming up.
As you can tell, I have managed some black ink, hope it makes for better
reading of the V-Mail letters.  Yours come through fine when I get them.
Certainly hope I hear from you soon.  Am feeling pretty good myself at
present.  Still can’t figure out why the war doesn’t end.  How’s my little
Ronnie?  I miss you both very much.  Hope you are both well,
