Hello again, honey,

I had written Claude a letter around Ronnie’s birthday because Fuzzy had asked
about Claude, but maybe they thought I was reminding them of Ronnie’s birthday.
I hope not!  In your letter of Feb. 3rd, you mention being glad you hadn’t had
to kill as yet.  I am too, honey, as I know how you’d feel, in spite of the
fact that they may deserve it.  If necessary, there’s not much can be done
about it, but I also hope it won’t be and that they can find some other work
for you to do, which is just as vital.  I know by your V-mails of Feb. 14, 15,
16, and 17th, of course that you are headed for France, but hope not back to
Germany.

I hope the snaps we took of Ronnie’s Christmas party last Tuesday will turn out
so you can see them.  I’m glad you got the Christmas pictures O.K.

The time that will elapsed before you come home again will seem mighty long for
both of us, but let’s keep in mind that that homecoming will eventually come,
and not do anything that will spoil that event.  I, for one, aim to keep my
promises and have great faith that you will too, in spite of what people try to
tell me, sometimes. I guess that’s why I love you, as I’ve always trusted you
implicitly somehow.
