Dear Alice and Ronnie,

Another short one to let you know that I’m still doing a lot of the same. I
did get a letter from Al Evers tonight. It was written April 2nd, and he is
at St. Quentin, about <censored> miles northeast of Paris, which makes him
about <censored> miles from me at present.  However, if I ever get located,
expect to be much closer and certainly will try to see him some way, either
in Paris or some other mutual place.  Now if I would just hear from Dick, I
would feel pretty good. Can’t help but wonder why he doesn’t write me as I’ve
written him a half dozen times and I’m sure he must have received one of them
anyhow.

It’s been very warm here today.  In fact, so warm that I had to shed my heavy
woolen underwear and right now I’m still warm.  Of course, just finished
playing a couple games of ping pong which probably accounts for that.  Still
no mail from the one I really want to hear from.  Thought surely I’d get some
today.  Have you received the $50 [I sent] yet?
