Dearest Alice and Ronnie,

a little late tonight as there was an extra show downtown that I stayed for and am very sorry I did because it wasn’t much. Also saw Hollywood <? Cantan> for the second time.

Probably wouldn’t be writing at all tonight except for the fact that I received another Christmas package from you today. This one contained the fruitcake and the carton of gum. I get my mail while at the office now. You can imagine how long the fruitcake lasted among these wolves. The piece I got was very good. The boys all seemed to like it very much.

No letter again today and since I just about wrote myself out yesterday there wasn’t much news tonight. I think I wrote eight letters yesterday afternoon and I’m all caught up yet. Looks like things are going to get plenty <? minatonay> around here for the next few <? monthss>.  Certainly hope some way <? gortane> will <? seaily> on me and I get shipped back to the states. Thanks very much for the nice package. And now I am off to bed.
