Dearest Alice and Ronnie:
Just back from the show and a little stroll afterwards. The picture "Experiment Perilous" with Hedy Lamarr and George Brent wasn’t too bad. The evenings here continue to be just about perfect so we enjoy a little stroll through the park after watch. Oh yes, nuzzled a couple glasses of wine. We drank to being home in August. That is the first one was. The second was for making it by July, the third for June, and the fourth for just getting home. We decided to stop there. My stomach is telling me now that I should have stopped with August. Anyhow I’ll think it pretty wonderful if I can make it home by August. Who knows it could be.
I sent you the package today. Hope it makes reaches there intact. There really isn’t much in it but it’s about the best I could do with what there is to do with in this country. I really had a hard time finding something to put in the box to fill it.
Have heard a rumor or two today that I may be stationed here after all, which I think would be all right. Will probably know definitely in the next day or so. If I do there will be another change of address if I am still using the last place’s address. Will let you know at <? else> what ever happens.
All my love to you both, Daddy
